@MichaelJackson: “When I see children, I see the face of God, that’s why I love them so much. That’s what I see.”
TJ has been named the temporary guardian of Michael’s children. A California judge today also ordered the children not to leave California. The judge suspended Katherine Jackson as guardian of Paris Michael, Prince Michael and Blanket at a hearing, saying she is being prevented from acting as a guardian by acts of a third party.
The judge ordered that Diana Ross, who Michael named as a backup guardian in his will, receive notice within 48 hours. Debbie Rowe, the mother of the children, must receive notice as well. Rowe is not named in the will. The judge ordered another hearing to take place in 30 days.
Katherine called her grandchildren late Tuesday night, ending a days-long silence that culminated in the appointment of a temporary guardian for her three grandchildren. She remains in Tucson, Arizonza, where she is staying with relatives, including Janet and Jermaine are also in Tucson.
Perry Sanders, Katherine Jackson’s estate attorney, traveled to Tucson Tuesday night to meet with Janet and Jermaine and check on Katherine Jackson’s condition. He was assured by people staying with her that she was OK, but did not see her.
“I think you have a bunch of people who have a lot of different ideas about what should happen with their mother in this situation,” Sanders told ABC News. “It’s a complex family dynamic.”
Sandra Ribera, another attorney for Katherine Jackson, told ABC News, “The children were able to make contact with their grandmother very late yesterday evening. They are looking forward to being reunited with their grandmother very soon.”
Michael’s children have indicated their approval of TJ being their temporary guardian. TJ is married to Frances and has three children with her, a son named Royal (Ro Do) and two daughters Dee Dee and Jordan (Jo Jo). Frances also teenage children from a previous relationship.
A representative for Katherine Jackson says Mrs. Jackson is on a plane back to L.A. at the moment and will seek to regain guardianship ASAP.
Michael, I know you have a deep love for children.
Michael: I’ve always been totally crazy about children. I feel like they are more than just children; that they are all little geniuses and that they have a secret all of their own. A secret that they cannot always express.
Do they lose it when they become adults, then?
Michael: I kinda think they do. I studied child psychology because of my love for children- all over the world.
Could that secret be innocence?
Michael: That may well be it. If a kid doesn’t like you, he’ll tell you. But adults pretend and they put on phony ways. I wish the world could be full of children! (Michael Jackson, 1979)
